        2017 - 2018 Board of Directors    

Three new local leaders have been elected to the Board of Directors for LEAD Brevard for the upcoming year June 2017 – May 2018.  They join 14 returning board members, elected for another term. Elections were held during the organization’s annual meeting May 11th 2017 as a portion of the evening of the graduation of the Leadership Brevard Class of 2017.  

Newly elected are: John Diamantas, Program Manager, Luke & Associates, Inc.; Dale Dupree (LB 2017), Partner/President of Sales, Dedicated IT; and Chris Kern (LB 2017), Director of Operations and Sustained Giving, Health First Foundation.

Returning to board service are Josh Field, Parrish Medical Center; Phil Bryden, Optimize Aerospace Corporation; Laurie Cappelli, Community Credit Union; John Craig, Brevard County School Board; Mike Durante, Berman, Hopkins, Wright & LaHam, CPA’s and Associates, LLP; Chris Fox, Parrish Medical Center Healthcare at Port St. John; Bart Gaetjens, Florida Power & Light; Beth Gitlin, BJG Global Consultants; Gina Kaiser, FLORIDA TODAY Communications; Dale Ketcham, Space Florida; Michele Murrell, YMCA of Central Florida; Kimberly Bonder Rezanka, Cantwell & Goldman, P.A.; Vinnie Taranto, Media-Over-Matter Productions, LC and Milo Zonka, Brevard County Property Appraiser’s Office.

        Now Accepting Leadership Action Project Proposals    
        Due: Friday, July 14, 2017    
        Members of the Leadership Brevard Class of 2017 Leadership Action Project Team: Children's Home Society    
        LEAD Brevard is seeking project proposals from Brevard County's non-profit 501 (c)(3) organizations and Brevard County's municipalities for consideration as a Leadership Action Project (LAP) for the 2018 Class of Leadership Brevard. Project proposals should be designed with the understanding that the Leadership Brevard class is comprised of talented and professionally accomplished individuals. We seek projects that are large enough in scope to utilize the skills of 8 - 12 team members, with different skills and experience and that will benefit an established 501 (c)(3) nonprofit agency or public sector organization.

        Congratulations to Captain John W. Craig, United States Navy (retired) on the occasion of his retirement celebrated on Thursday, June 1st.  John is a graduate of the Leadership Brevard Class of 2010 and is a LEAD Brevard Board Member.      
        Congratulations to Melbourne Police Chief Steve Mimbs (LB 2016) on his retirement after 37 years with the City of Melbourne.
